Some of you have already guessed it, but I've postponed my Foreign Service candidacy for this round. Yes, I passed a major hurdle in being invited to the Oral Assessment, but with it being just one day before Peace Corps Staging, I realized that my mind would simply not be in the right place to do the best job.
That said, I spoke with State and they said I have until June, 2013 to take the Oral Assessment. I still have to see if that will fly with Peace Corps, though, as there is a rule that states I can't travel/go on vacation for a certain amount of time (I believe it's around 3 months.) Even if I do have to terminate this candidacy, I will still take the test in June (or October if I can't leave my site) and begin the process all over again.
The Foreign Service is definitely in my future! And thank you again, to all the people who have helped me get this far! I really appreciate your efforts!

I'm considering taking the test in either June or October, so it's possible that we may end up applying at the same time. Good luck with getting prepared for PC Service and with your FS application process! PC Staging is 2 weeks away for me, so I'm moving back to my mom's house in 2 days and packing everything up for the move!

DeleteI'm registering for the June test! Yay! And my local librarian just gave me life today and showed me this online fsot book that offers 3 practice test :D You are right we do need to stick together ha ha.
